Sacred Heart Primary School is now officially 'Good'

Ofsted Report July 2016

Sacred Heart Primary School, Burley, Leeds is now a Good School - Ofsted 2016Sacred Heart Primary School has been recognised by Ofsted as a 'good' school. At an inspection in July of this year, the Government Inspectors were highly pleased with progress that has been made in all areas of the school.

The Headmistress, Mrs Cathy Mcdonald, is delighted with this outcome and commented that it is a good reflection of the hard work and commitment of the senior management team, teachers, support staff and the governing body.

It was acknowledged that the school has been through difficult times, but the headteacher and the governing body have made the necessary decisions, and have overcome these problems. As a consequence they are now in a strong position to secure the school's continued improvement.

The school's senior management team has been strengthened significantly in recent years, and the benefits of this have been felt at all levels. In particular, the school now has a stable base of highly committed teachers who fulfil their respective roles effectively and with enthusiasm.

Parents are overwhelmingly positive about the school, and pupils enjoy learning there. Crucially the children learn to value people of different faiths, encouraged by leaders who actively promote opportunities in which pupils can express their different beliefs.
