The Advent season has begun. A season of waiting and expectation. The waiting reminds me of the Advent calendar we had as a child when we could not wait to open the final window to reveal the baby Jesus in the crib. It can feel that we wait for Jesus in our lives but he is here, present with us particularly in the Eucharist which really is his body, blood, soul and divinity. When we receive the Eucharist he is one with us and we with him.

But Jesus will come again to, God willing, bring us home to the Father and the Holy Spirit. There will will be no more waiting. We will be in the "eternal now" of God forever.
